D’Addario Helicore viola strings are made with a multi-strand steel core for optimum playability and a clear, warm sound. This D string for viola has a medium draw and is titanium spun. These strings can be mixed with steel, gut or synthetic strings, an advantage that adds several possibilities for balancing the sound of an instrument. We recommend this string as a 2nd chanter for hurdy-gurdies (pitch over 350mm). This D4 chanter allows you to play in the D/G tuning.
